First Meeting

We had our first meeting on Friday. The most important take away message: We are not checking any luggage! We are only taking carry-ons in order to reduce time in the airport. Also, it will make me feel better knowing none of my luggage can get lost! : ) We have to go by the most restrictive requirements of the multiple airlines, which is 9x14x22 & 15 lbs. Not sure how I'm going to pack for 5 weeks with only 15 lbs. worth of stuff, but I'll definitely learn a lot about what I really need. I am also looking into buying a netbook (really small) laptop to take with me. I am not taking a cell phone, and I don't want to take my nice Macbook, so I figure a cheap, mini laptop will be a nice way to keep in touch with everyone back home, complete my class assignments, and update this blog!
